I have had my son at this hospital for almost 3 days, and his nurse team has been awesome. Specifically a shoutout to nurse Julia and Nurse Michelle, in the children’s unit. Not only have they listened and took special care, they have been so gentle, listened to my concerns with 0 judgement, and have been nothing but amazing with the bedside nursing. My son’s autism makes things much harder, and not many take time to listen to mom about it! These two, bae done everything I have asked, if not more in such an amazing way. I am grateful he has had these nurses. Especially Julia. You are amazing and deserve all the recognition. Not many are good with children, special needs at that. But you honey, this was YOUR calling. Thank you for being amazing. Nothing bad to say about this hospital.

I've been here for a couple of surgeries so I've been to the surgical day center and all the nurses all the doctors everyone working there is absolutely amazing. I was admitted after a hip surgery and they took such good care of me thank you all for your hard work and dedication.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this facility. From intake through discharge— we were met with nothing but positivity and care! I could not recommend this team more! I wish I had gotten every single persons name start to finish so I could personally shout them out! I’m blessed to have had each of you care for my son! Thank you all @ Wake Med (NewBernAve) especially the OR team and Dr. Rhee!!

I can not say enough good things about the doctors and nurses that took care of me! I had my third baby almost 3 weeks ago, first baby at wake med and it was definitely the best experience out of all of my births!!! I wish I had all of my babies at wake med. I had so much birth trauma and everyone was so sweet and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I had a scheduled caesarean and I was terrified since during my previous C-section, the spinal didn’t take. Everyone in the OR made sure I was super comfortable during the entire process, checking multiple times that I did not feel anything. They coached me through the whole thing. The nurse that was standing in front of me during the spinal kept conversation with me and kept reassuring me. She gladly took photos of my babies birth for me. During my previous csections I never got to have my baby on my chest after they were born, I got to this time! The nurses on the postpartum ward were absolutely incredible as well. They were all just so sweet and gave me the best experience. IF I have anymore children, I will not have them anywhere other than WakeMed Raleigh!!

I came for help for a mental health crisis. I was treated with kindness and respect. Ms. Carolyn, Ms. Lillian, Nurse Hunter, and Mr. Olu were fantastic. During a time of stress and uncertainty I was well cared for, and transported safely and securly to receive the help for my depression.

Thank You Wake Med for taking care of my grandson. Thanks you to the Doctors, Nurses, dietary, IV team, anyone who had a hand in taking care of him. I know it take a team to do the job not just one particular person which is why I am thanking the entire facility. God Bless you all!!

The ER responded very quickly to my symptoms. An EKG was performed immediately after check-in and I was taken to the examining room within 10-15 minutes after the EKG ruled out a heart-attack. I did have a PE, so time was essential. All staff performed their jobs efficiently and were friendly. I was treated with respect. There were regular check-ins to be sure I was okay or if I needed anything. I was in the ER for a long period of time, due to inability to get a room. However, I felt I received a very good level of care. Your staff is to be commended for how they could balance the needs of the ER, along with a patient waiting for further maintenance/overview care. I was admitted to ER on 2/1 and released from hospital 2/3/2026

I received wonderful care during my recent stay at WakeMed. I’m so grateful for everything each team member did for me. Every person I met brought not only skill and professionalism but also a bright, genuine compassion that lifted my spirits. What really stood out was how many different caregivers I saw throughout the day, yet every transition felt smooth and reassuring. Each new face came with the same kindness and energy, creating a comforting flow that made me feel consistently supported. It was truly impressive — and it made a huge difference in my experience.

Just had a major operation. Just like anywhere, u will have a few bad apples... don't let that fool you or leave a bad taste in your mouth. The Dr.'s, surgeons, nurses, nurse techs, PT, OT, and all the other teams are amazing! Im super impressed at how the teams came together to help in my recovery. The Nutrition team deserves a stand alone recognition. Yum yum, got me some! Thank you so much WakeMed! A special thank you to Brenna Houlihan and her awesome team! As well, a thank you to all the other surgeons who took their time to monitor my well being. There were alot of people working on my successful procedure that I am not aware of. I want to thank each and everyone of you! Thank you kindly!

There are simply not enough words to thank the incredible team at this hospital. Every member of staff, from the ER and ICU team to the cardiac floor, RN, physicians, therapists, housekeeping, pharmacy, and cafeteria staff, treated us with extraordinary skill, compassion, and kindness. We will never forget the humanity, teamwork, and dedication we witnessed every day. Thank you for the exceptional care!
